WLC was selected by the Town of Evansville to assist in the development of a new park. Our team is currently working with contractors and the Town of Evansville to construct the new park and playground for Evansville residents and guests. The project started in June 2024 and is set to be completed in the beginning of October. WLC, along with the Town of Evansville, are happy to assist in this project that not only provides more amenities to the area but helps enhance the overall quality of life for the community.
Currently under construction the park is located on Platte Park Road in Evansville on the south side of the North Platte Riverjust south of the existing Reshaw Park. WLC worked in conjunction with Playgrounds by Leathers to create a custom unique park tailored to the residents of Evasnville.
“The Town is very excited and hope that this will be a destination park within the Town and surrounding communities,” says WLC Owner and Project Manager, Shane Porter.
This is one of two recent park design projects WLC has assisted with both in design and construction. In 2023, WLC was hired by the City of Mills for the design of the new Robertson Heights Park. For this project, WLC provided civil engineering design, land surveying, materials testing, and construction contract administration as well as support for the City of Mills during the grant application process for maps, cost estimates, and the like.
The Evansville Park project is being funded by the Wyoming Community Development Authority Community Development Block Grant and the Town of Evansville, a grant WLC worked with the Town to obtain.
