WLC was hired by MOA Architecture in November 2020 to assist in the YCMA of Natrona County Phase II project that consisted of building expansion and pool design. Services for the addition and design of the pool included civil engineering design and land surveying as well as site grading, sanitary sewer line modifications, concrete sidewalk design, and drainage improvements. Together with the architect, WLC worked to design a functional site that seamlessly works with the new addition and the existing improvements. This included fitting the new addition on the existing site without extensive disturbance while maintaining operation of the existing YMCA building.
A major consideration of this project was ensuring the addition of the pool is ADA accessible while matching the finished floor elevation of existing building. To do this, WLC advised the construction of a stair/ramp combination at the main exit that provides access at a grade meeting ADA code. This project was completed on time and within budget.
