WLC Engineering and Surveying was hired in 2007 to provide to complete the preliminary topo on the expansion of the Windstar Substation and tie-ins of 230kv transmission lines. After design was completed, WLC staked the structures for the transmission lines. With extensive knowledge of power projects and the site, WLC continues to provide an assortment of services. The Windstar Expansion enables additional electrical capacity to be transformed within the substation. Windstar is the initial substation for the Gateway West project which WLC is also involved in. Gateway West will carry new and additional power from Wyoming to the west.
