WLC Engineering and Surveying was hired by the City of Casper to design and construct 2.2 miles of 12” PVC waterline from Coates Road to Wolf Creek Road. The new waterline serves as a much needed redundant water source for the west side of Casper and provides residents of Squaw Creek with the ability to obtain city water for their homes as their only previous access to water was wells. WLC provided design engineering, survey and securing easements. WLC also provided construction engineering, survey and materials testing. To initiate the project, WLC identified the best route for the waterline and worked to negotiate easements with property owners. WLC successfully negotiated six separate easements with local residents to install the waterline. The project included wetland delination and the waterline crosses two creeks.
