WLC was hired by the Town of Rolling Hills in Spring 2021 for a mailbox facility design and construction project, in partnership with Amundsen Associates, to provide the Town with a new, state-of-the-art mailbox facility. WLC’s primary services include civil engineering, land surveying, civil engineering design, materials testing, and construction contract administration. The facility replaced the existing gravel turnout mailbox pads with a more accessible structure, an asphalt paved parking lot and heated concrete to encourage snow melt during the winter. The mailbox facility design also included garage door bays so the mail delivery person can pull into building and get out of the elements to distribute mail. Additionally, the mailbox facility was designed to later be incorporated into the new town hall building scheduled to be constructed on the same site as soon as the funding is available. This project was completed on time in October 2022 and within budget.
