Pathway Design for 5th Street
In 2010, WLC Engineering and Surveying was hired by the Town of Evansville to complete the 5th Street Pathway and Amenities project. WLC provided the grants writing and administration for the TEAL grant, environmental site assessment, pathway design, surveying, and construction contract administration for the 2,000 feet pathway. In addition to the pathway design, the project included landscaping, an irrigation drip system, and decorative fencing. This pathway connects Evansville’s mainstreet, Curtis Street, to the Evansville Elementary School ending at Leavitt Street. The path provides a safe and attractive route for elementary students and other pedestrians. Additionally, the project adds to the existing pathway system allowing for possible future expansion.
