WLC was hired by the City of Casper to perform construction administration services (CA) for the Highland Park Cemetery Addition, Phase II Project. This project was a major expansion to the existing cemetery adding more than 1,000 plots and one columbarium. The project included site grading, irrigation system improvements, seeding, landscaping, concrete installation and paving. WLC performed all CA services including materials testing, daily observation, and construction surveying. The project was designed by the City of Casper. WLC utilized the electronic design documents to create surfaces for staking and layout. WLC was responsible for issuing the necessary interpretations and clarification of the design documents and the resolution of field discrepancies and minor design modifications. The project involved a prime contractor with several sub contractors. WLC managed the CA to provide the City of Casper with a successful project. The irrigation system improvements included large main extensions and complicated valving which required detailed observation and clarification by WLC. WLC’s surveyors were responsible for laying out plots and ensuring no irrigation lines were within their boundaries. WLC provided the City of Casper with detailed as-constructed drawings at the completion of the project. Lastly, WLC installed rebar with aluminum caps at all lot corners for the new plots.
