In 2010, WLC was hired to provide civil engineering design and materials testing services for the new construction of the Gateway Building. WLC completed the water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and underdrain systems, site grading, pavement, and parking lot designs. Throughout the design, WLC’s goal was to minimize the disturbance to surrounding buildings and landscaping. This also enabled WLC to control and reduce costs as less surface was moved and disturbed. WLC also performed the construction observation during the water and sewer system installation as well as estimated earthwork quantities and a drainage study.
