WLC was selected, as a subconsultant to Fanning Howey, to provide campus engineering for the site. Specifically, services included civil engineering and surveying services on the new Carbon County Higher Education Center Campus. The new higher education campus is located at the north end of Rawlins at the intersection of U.S. Highway 287 and the 287 by-pass. The $6.1 million project consisted of the first phase of buildings for the 17+/- acre campus. The WLC Rawlins office provided civil engineering design and construction administration for the project. A main goal of the site design was to provide a nicely landscaped college appearance (with full amenities) that provides a powerful visual impression when entering Rawlins from the north. The college houses facilities for industry training, nursing, and the various academic programs that the college offers.
