WLC provided engineering design and support during construction for site improvement projects at several existing schools for the Natrona County School District (NCSD). The main goal of these projects was to maintain existing infrastructure and prolong the useable life of existing improvements. These projects also included improvements for handicapped accessibility. The maintenance efforts included crack sealing and seal coating of asphalt pavement, replacement of deteriorated asphalt and concrete pavement, and addressing inadequate drainage that would affect the longevity of existing pavement. Accessibility improvements included ADA compliant ramps, handrails, and wheelchair ramps. To ensure construction could be completed when the NCSD’s summer break began in June, WLC provided design services during the winter of 2019/2020 and bidding began in the spring of 2020. WLC provided support during the bidding and construction processes. Support services included attending meetings, intermittent site visits, change order review, final walkthrough reviews, and construction staking.
