WLC Engineering and Surveying was recently awarded the Morad Park to Walmart Trail Project by the City of Casper and Platte River Trails Trust (PRTT). The project includes the installation of a multi-use pathway from the Platte River Trail at 2800 SW Wyoming Blvd to the intersection of CY Avenue and the Walmart Business Access Road at the Mountain View Shopping Center. The Morad Park to Walmart Trail Project is expected to be completed in 2020.
Prior to the design of the new pathway, WLC is providing field investigations and surveys to verify existing conditions, topographic data, existing utility locations, right-of-ways, and surface elevations. Additionally, WLC’s team will delineate all necessary wetlands as needed to complete the environmental process and any mitigation that may be needed prior to construction.
WLC will design the pathway to accentuate the natural surroundings, especially through Morad Park as well as provide easement services, cost estimates, a project manual, advertising and bidding services, schedule management, construction services, and administrative support for the project. WLC will also look to include additional pathway amenities such as benches, pathway signage or dog waste disposal facilities, adding to the functionality and enjoyment of the trail.
WLC has designed and provided construction services for dozens of pathways in Natrona County and across Wyoming. Several of these pathways have been part of the Platte River Trails system, including the Pathway to Rotary Park, Phase I and Phase II. WLC understands the value of this amenity to residents and visitors and is thrilled to add a new and critical connection across CY Avenue to Fort Casper Academy Elementary School and the Wolf Creek area.
WLC is proud to be part of the Morad to Walmart Trail Project, further connecting Casper’s trail system and allowing trail users to travel safely throughout west side Casper! Contact us to learn more about this and other projects.
