WLC is proud of the team we have; not just for their professional skill, but also for the vast industry knowledge and diversified background they bring to the table. Doug Boyd, Rawlins Office Manager, Project Manager and Owner, embodies the WLC employee.
Doug took charge of WLC’s Rawlins location in 2012. As a licensed Professional Surveyor, he’s tallied 22 years in the industry, all of which have been in the private sector. From GLO retracement and boundary surveys, to topographic, hydrographic, route, and design surveys, he’s provided his surveying expertise on countless projects with WLC. However, Doug’s skillset goes beyond surveying.
On top of his technical skills, he is also a seasoned project manager, with demonstrated ability to serve as client contact, managing and executing each stage of the project, from proposal and report preparation to schedule, crew, and budget management, data collection and client communication. His range of experience makes him an important asset to WLC and 2016 Doug became the most recent of WLC’s five owners.
Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Doug earned his B.S. in Surveying/Engineering from Ferris State University in 1997. He moved to Wyoming in 2012 to join the WLC team. He currently lives in Rawlins with his wife, and kids. Doug enjoys the outdoors and can be found most weekends at one of the many remote locations in Carbon County.
