WLC was hired by the City of Casper for the Westridge Improvements Phase I Project which consisted of street improments including roadway, sidewalk, storm sewer, water, and sewer improvements within Westwood Hill, Westridge Circle, Westridge Terrace, and Westridge Drive. Phase 1 improvements included civil design, permitting, and construction contract administration on these streets. During Phase 1, WLC also focused heavily on one of the critical components of the project which was the successful formation of the Local Assessment District (LAD) to fund the costs of the new sidewalk installation.
Additionally, WLC worked with Advanced Geotechnical Solutions (AGS), a geotechnical engineering company, for this project. AGS completed the geotechnical investigation as well as provided pipe bedding requirements to satisfy the WDEQ and road section recommendations for the reconstruction of the roadways. The geotechnical investigation included subsurface exploration, geotechnical analysis, and a detailed report of the findings for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project. Phase I of the project was completed on time and within budget with Phase 2 set to begin in Summer of 2025
