WLC Engineering was hired by Casper Building Systems as part of the design-build team for the Mesa Solutions site improvement project. WLC’s primary services included civil engineering design and construction contract administration. The site improvements support Mesa Solutions’ new manufacturing and administrative buildings, which span 205,000 square feet.
Mesa’s site encompasses 44 acres and underwent a mass grading package, excavating 610,000 CY of soil, before the site design was complete. The site design incorporated the excess ground material by placing it on adjacent property, creating approximately 12.5 acres for development. Additionally, the grading design included two stormwater detention areas and approximately 4,500 LF of storm piping, ranging from 18” to 30” in diameter.
WLC also provided platting, permitting, and construction services. Additional site improvements include an 8” water line loop around the building, sanitary sewer service, extensive site drainage facilities, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, asphalt surfacing, and concrete surfacing. This project was completed on time and within budget.
