WLC was hired by the City of Casper and Platte River Trails for the Morad Park to Mountain Plaza pathway design project. The new section of pathway expands the Platte River Trails non-motorized trail network throughout Casper and Natrona County. WLC’s services included the design of a multi-use, non-motorized pathway from the Platte River Trail path in Morad Park across CY Avenue, near the intersection with Wyoming Boulevard, to the Mountain View Shopping Center. WLC provided field investigations, land surveying, civil engineering design of the pathway including landscape and amenities along the route, and construction administration services.

The addition of this new pathway provides future opportunities to continue extending the path south towards Casper Mountain and Fort Caspar Elementary School on the west side of town. The new path also provides infrastructure for pedestrians and bicyclists to safely cross a busy CY Avenue. The project was completed on time and within budget.
