WLC was hired by the Town of Evansville to provide design plans for new sidewalks within the Town of Evansville. To help get the project off the ground, WLC assisted with grant application for funding of the sidewalk design project. Once the project was approved and funding was secured, WLC provided survey and design plans for new sidewalks on portions of 4th, Williams, King, and Evans Streets. Additionally, WLC’s services included construction contract administration, observations, and materials testing.
An important part of residential infrastructure projects is to ensure each property owner’s needs are heard when it comes to the sidewalk design in order to mitigate challenges and issues during construction. Furthermore, WLC individually analyzes each property during the grading to ensure new sidewalk elevations would work for existing access and drainage to each residential home. Once complete, the new sidewalk allows pedestrians to safely travel throughout the neighborhood. This project was completed on time and within budget.
