WLC is celebrating the retirement of Owner and Treasurer, Greg Biggs. For nearly 40 years, Greg has been an instrumental and dedicated WLC team member offering expertise in business management and land surveying. Greg has spent the majority of his career with WLC. Though we are sad to see him leave, we’re beyond thrilled for his highly earned retirement.

During the majority of his career with WLC, Greg served as Corporate Treasurer managing WLC’s business operations. For 27 years, Greg oversaw all financial, business, contract, and human resource needs for WLC, and he noted how fortunate he was to have people, smarter than him, to help. Prior to that, he offered and built his expertise in land and construction surveying, AutoCAD drafting, materials testing, and construction monitoring for projects of all sizes, which helped him appreciate all aspects of the business.

In the first year of his retirement, Greg has several plans including a trip to Florida, an ATV side-by-side trek from Mexico to Canada, and a drive to Bowling Green, Kentucky with a Corvette Caravan. Then he will continue to Disney World and up the East coast before heading home to park the Corvette before the snow flies again next year. All-in-all, Greg hopes to spend his retirement traveling, spending more time with family and friends, and re-visiting old hobbies.

When asked about his time spent at WLC, Greg shares how WLC has been a major part of his life. He’s met good people who, like him, are passionate about what they do and help provide value to our communities. From our clients to the WLC staff, Greg knows he will miss the people the most.

“When one loves what they do, it is not work, and I was so fortunate that for over 40 years I was able to get up and do something I truly enjoyed. Even better, I got to be with people I really enjoy and care about every day. I feel so fortunate to be able to leave with such a seasoned group to continue another 75 years of great service to our communities and the people in them. What a gift, thank you,” says Greg.

WLC will certainly miss Greg and his incredible spirit and contributions to our work, clients, communities, and business. Greg knows the company he has spent the last 40 years with, will continue to prosper, and we’ll continue to do our best to ensure the same. Join us in thanking and celebrating Greg’s 40 years of dedication to WLC and our communities.
