WLC Awarded the Douglas Fire Training Facility Project

WLC was recently awarded the Douglas Fire Training Facility Project located in Converse County. The project includes grading, surfacing, and installing wet and dry utilities to a building pad for the construction of the facility. WLC team’s experience and knowledge on similar projects will enable us to provide safe and cost-effective results for the client.

The new Douglas Fire Training Facility will be a steel framed, 1,320 square-foot building and extend to no greater than four stories high in the training tower. The entire facility will cover nearly 6 acres of the 12-acre site.

A preliminary site survey and geotechnical investigation will kick off the project. After these items are complete, WLC will prepare the site layout, drainage study, water system study, sanitary sewer system capacity study, site grading design, storm sewer and drainage design, water system design, and sanitary sewer system design.

WLC has extensive experience with site and utility design. Similar projects we have completed include commercial development site design for The Compass in 2020, civil engineering for Wyoming Medical Center in 2014, and the Poison Spider Elementary School site design in 2009.

WLC is proud to be awarded the Douglas Fire Training Facility Project to provide an expanded training facility for first responders in Converse County. Contact WLC to learn more about this project and our complete services.
