WLC Engineering and Surveying (WLC) has evolved over our 70-year history. While still providing the excellence we’ve been dedicated to since day one, we offer additional locations, services and team members to provide our clients with better service and more in-house expertise. With three offices around the state in Casper, Cheyenne, and Rawlins, our team offers expertise in a variety of civil engineering and surveying services.

Our WLC Engineering and Surveying Casper office is the main center of our business and where WLC opened its doors in 1948. WLC is the longest-standing engineering and surveying firm in Wyoming and was originally founded by Spec Worthington and Elmer Lenhart, and later added Jim Carpenter. In 2006, WLC changed its name to WLC Engineering, Surveying, and Planning to better communicate the services we provide while continuing to recognize our founders. In 2018, we refocused our brand on our core services and are WLC Engineering and Surveying today.

Today, offices of Corporate President, Shane Porter; Corporate Vice President, Jason Meyers; and Corporate Treasurer, Greg Biggs; are located here. The WLC Casper office also houses civil and geotechnical engineers, land surveyors and technicians, materials testing technicians and an operational testing lab, and GIS specialists. Our additional offices have access to these services and equipment enabling us to remain dedicated to our clients no matter their location. Since the Casper office serves as the headquarters, administration and business offices are located here.

Approximately 20 employees work in the Casper office currently and many of our staff have been with us for 10 or more years. More than 80% of WLC’s business results from repeat clients, and we attribute this to WLC’s experienced staff and the strong relationships we’ve built with clients over the years.

WLC’s Casper office works with many different clients including municipal and state governments and agencies, developers, design professionals, private land owners and ranchers, contractors and companies in the energy industry. WLC creates its own, unique approach for each of these projects while simultaneously relying on experience from thousands of successful projects before.
