WLC was hired by Casper College for miscellaneous asphalt rehabilitation across its campus, including parking lots and street sections. WLC created designs for the rehabilitation to address failing surfacing and drainage issues. WLC’s design drawings and specifications were included in the bid documents issued by Casper College. Additionally, WLC provided field observations and materials testing during construction.
To optimize the project budget, WLC implemented cost-effective solutions to repair multiple parking lots, which required mill and overlays, full-depth reconstructions, and crack sealing. To ensure an adequate and long lasting design various sections of asphalt were analyzed through coring to determine their overall condition and if they were thick enough to accept a mill and overlay or required full replacement. Upon completion, Casper College students and faculty can now enjoy newly surfaced parking lots and roads free of cracks and potholes. The project was completed on time and within budget
