WLC Engineering & Surveying: Rawlins Office Highlight

WLC Rawlins Office

It’s been almost nine years since WLC Engineering and Surveying became a local business in Rawlins and as Wyoming’s longest-standing engineering and surveying firm we’ve never looked back!  Since acquiring Robert Jack Smith & Associates, Inc. (RJS), a surveying firm founded in the mid 1950’s, in September 2010, WLC has provided land surveying, civil engineering and materials testing on a number of projects in Carbon County including the Rawlins High School, Pick Bridge Erosion Control, and many Sinclair Refinery projects as well as many others.

The Rawlins location is home to eight WLC team members.  Prior to acquiring RJS, civil engineering and materials testing services were not available in Rawlins. WLC has since been able to provide these professional services only previously offered outside of the community. WLC works with many different clients out of the Rawlins location, including municipal and state governments and agencies, developers, design professionals, private land owners and ranchers, contractors and companies in the energy industry. Some of WLC’s most notable  Carbon County projects to date include the Carbon County Higher Education Campus Engineering, Saratoga Cemetery Design Expansion, and Ryan Park Fire Building.

No matter the project, WLC strives to create better communities and increase the quality of life for residents.  Establishing additional locations, such as the Rawlins office, has allowed WLC to be a viable, successful company; ensuring we continually provide exceptional services to our clients and maintain the highest educated, knowledgeable, and experienced employees.

In addition to the Rawlins and Casper locations, our full-service engineering and surveying firm also maintains an office in Cheyenne. Founded in 1948, WLC Engineering and Surveying is proud to be an employee-owned firm, recognized throughout the State as a quality provider of surveying, civil and geotechnical engineering, GIS, materials testing, and grant writing.
