WLC ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING ANNOUNCES NEW OWNER
Brad Miskimins, Grants Coordinator and Marketing Director, Purchases Ownership Shares in Firm

CASPER, Wyo., March 15, 2010 – WLC Engineering and Surveying (WLC), a Wyo.-based full-service civil and geotechnical engineering, surveying, materials testing, planning, grantwriting, and GIS firm, today announces Brad Miskimins, the firm’s grantsman and marketing director, purchased ownership shares in the firm.

“We’re excited to add Brad to our group of partners; he’s an asset to our company and more importantly to our clients,” said Don Davis, L.S. and corporate president, CEO and surveying and mapping division manager for WLC. “He is extremely skilled at identifying the appropriate funding for our client’s projects and pushing them through the suitable channels. He continuously impresses us with his success in securing grants and loans for our clients.”

Since starting WLC’s Cheyenne office in 2006, Mr. Miskimins has secured more than $21 million in grants and loans for the firm’s clients. These funds go toward a client’s designated project and, depending on the guidelines, can be used for various items throughout the contract period. Some grants are 100% funded while other grants and loans require some form of a match from the beneficiary. Mr. Miskimins also provides grant administration services where applicable.

To become an owner, Mr. Miskimins went through a formal interview process with the WLC board of directors, underwent a background check, and was successfully voted in by all partners.

Prior to joining WLC, Mr. Miskimins spent 16 years as the grant and loan programs manager for the Wyoming State Loan & Investment Board reviewing thousands of grant and loan applications. He is a knowledgeable individual regarding the new “local priority” grant procedure adopted by the legislature in 2007 and has helped WLC’s clients understand and adapt to the process.

Other owners include corporate board of directors Don Davis; Shawn Gustafson, P.E., vice president and COO; Jason Meyers, P.E. and secretary; and Greg Biggs, CFO and treasurer, as well as partners Steve Castle, L.S. and chief of surveys; Ken Moore, CADD department manager; Brian Gray, P.E. and Pinedale office manager; and Shane Porter, P.E. and project manager.
