The Laramie Readiness Center (LRC) was a design-build project with WLC Engineering and Surveying providing civil engineering design and construction services for Layton Construction and CRSA Architecture. The facility is owned by the State of Wyoming Military Department and replaces an undersized and aging facility. The LRC facility consists of a 43,000 SF office building and a 46,000 sf vehicle storage building. The site improvements included grading, looped water system distribution system, sanitary sewer system, storm drainage system, and asphalt and concrete surfacing. The storm drainage system consists of surface drainage, underground collection system and two storm water detention basins capable of detaining the 100-year storm runoff. WLC prepared the site plan to meet Wyoming Military Department requirements and City of Laramie requirements. WLC also assisted in navigating the permitting process through the City of Laramie and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for public utility installation. The LRC is the second design-build project this teamed has successfully completed for the Wyoming Military Department. The other Readiness Center is located in Afton, Wyoming. *Photo from CRSA Architecture.
