WLC was hired to provide professional services on the Route G Pathway, the Magnolia Street to Jackson Avenue, pathway. WLC provided the design, surveying, and construction administration services for the pathway. The pathway was constructed as a means to serve the residents of the retirement center and their visitors, the school complex, senior center, the Discovery Center, and residents west of Pine Creek. This particular path was chosen to be completed first because it would be utilized by several different facilities and the path would include a bridge that would span Pine Creek. The Route G path crosses a meadow which is a scenic alternative to walking beside the roads. The length of the path is 1.2 miles long and the pathway cost approximately $378,000. The Route G pathway was originally identified, along with several other potential pathways, in the Pinedale Pathway Plan created by WLC. Since the creation of the plan, the Sublette County Commissioners have budgeted funds each year for construction of the paths. The plan included recommendations for pathway amenities (benches, picnic areas, signage, etc.) and strategies for phasing the pathway construction. The plan has been used as a guide to construct an orderly and fiscally sound pathway system that is a source of local pride and enjoyment. WLC has also completed the Ehman Lane and North Piney-Cottonwood Pathways as part of the Pathway Plan.
