WLC established the base mapping and layout of 183-turbines on Foote Creek Rim. The Foote Creek Rim Energy project represents the first commercially viable wind power project to be completed in Wyoming. The project included a control segment, retracement of the 1879 original survey, pioneering a 13% access road to the top of the rim from the Rock Creek Drainage, conducting a survey for the operations and maintenance building, ground control for aerial photography, and layout of roads, utilities, and turbines. Several American Land Title Association (ALTA) surveys have been performed subsequent to the completion of the project to provide the owners with an updated report of the land. WLC provided services on Foote Creek Wind Projects, I, II, III, IV, and V as well as Rock River I. Each phase required working with a different owner and utilizing alternative funding sources.
