WLC Engineering and Surveying was hired by the Town of Evansville to obtain grant funding to install sidewalks within the original townsite area. WLC was able to obtain a $356,000 CDBG grant from the Wyoming Business Council to fund 80% of the project cost. WLC’s services also included civil engineering, construction contract administration, construction observation, land surveying materials testing and grant administration and reporting. The project installed new concrete sidewalks along various streets in Evansville, specifically the streets adjacent to Evansville Elementary School. Through design, WLC had to ensure the new sidewalk grades matched the existing house driveways and approaches so that proper drainage would be attained. WLC provided a detailed, up front site survey of the existing street grades and in-depth grading plan for each section of sidewalk.
