WLC was hired by the Town of Evansville as part of the Evansville Water Masterplan Level I Study. As the third project in this study, the Evansville Emergency Water Connection will provide the Town of Evansville with a secondary source of water other than the Town of Evansville’s water treatment plant. This project required a transfer of a private Home Depot fire service line into the City of Casper system. The transfer took approximately three and a half years to complete. Additionally, WLC coordinated the design with Guernsey Engineers to change the chloramine disinfection agent that the City of Casper uses over to a free chlorine disinfection process that is used by the Town of Evansville. Throughout the process, WLC coordinated the connection location, chemical analysis, treatment design and the adoption of the Home Depot fire service line to the City of Casper while providing design, surveying, and contract administration and construction observation. WLC wrote the grant and funding applications to complete this project. The Town is currently seeking additional funding for the water treatment building.
